Questionmark Releases New Connector for Blackboard Learn 8 and 9
Updated release offers easier access to Questionmark Perception assessments

LONDON -- 29 January 2010 – An updated connector integrating the Questionmark™ Perception™ system with Blackboard Learn™ 8 and 9 harmonises with Blackboard’s new user interface and offers improved synchronisation and administrative controls.

The Questionmark Blackboard Connector allows institutions to maintain student and instructor profiles within the widely used Blackboard platform while taking advantage of the powerful assessment features of Perception. The improved synchronisation process within this new version of the connector enables easier access to Perception tests from within Blackboard. In addition, administrators can now limit the number of times participants may take an assessment.

Using the Questionmark Perception Blackboard Connector, students and instructors seamlessly link to Perception surveys, quizzes, tests and exams from within Blackboard. Results are maintained within Perception for item analysis, and high level results are also stored within Blackboard’s grade book for easy access by students and instructors. For high-stakes exams, institutions can use Questionmark Secure to prevent test takers from exiting to other programs,

Questionmark Perception gives educators innovative tools for the easy creation, secure delivery and comprehensive reporting of surveys, quizzes, tests and exams. Blackboard Learn is a Web-based course management system used by thousands of institutions worldwide to deliver learning content, manage curricula and provide instructors and students collaborative applications such as discussion boards and virtual classrooms.

Questionmark, a global supplier of assessment technologies and services and a longtime supporter of open standards that support interoperability, provides connectors to a wide range of portals and enterprise systems. The company’s Open Assessment Platform™ initiative helped shape the current Blackboard Connector release through a collaborative process carried out with interested developers using Questionmark’s developer Web site.

Details about the new Blackboard Connector are available at www.questionmark.com/go/blackboard.
