Title:
Using the Latest Learning Research to Improve Your Questionmark Assessments
Synopsis:
In addition to measuring learning, assessment gives learners retrieval practice that helps them retain information. Recently published psychological research confirms that using questions to stimulate retrieval practice after learning significantly aids retention of learning. So quizzes during and after learning reduce the amount of forgetting, and increase the amount of practical value from learning.
This session will use graphs and interactive questions to share the latest psychological research in this area (no prior knowledge needed!).. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of how questions can directly help learning, and how to apply the findings of recent research to the way they use assessments in their organizations.
